Frickin’ amazing how quickly you guys have gone from zero to hero. Are they putting it in the water over there or something?

Hold our beer, we have this dumbfuck for a president, we are #1 for idiots refusing to take precautions and he just lies and says it’s not happening . It just so happens I’m watching Aussie Gold Hunters right now, I’m totally pissed (correct usage I hope) and it’s very entertaining. They say, “that’s a ripper” every other sentence .

What, we had 445 confirmed new cases in the last 24 hours for the U.K. as a whole.
Take care mate.

O.o
984 cases in the past week here
And already were threatening another half arsed lockdown if we can't behave ourselves and keep distance

We have 65,000! USA! USA!

984 in a week for us would be an improvement.
we’ve had 200-400 each day for a week or so

On July 21st. Also 1,100 deaths.

Jesus christ, we had 12 on the 21st of July.
How are people in the U.S. (granted a small very vocal minority) still denying it or refusing to wear a mask, it’s insane.

Yeah we aren’t doing a very good job with this...
GOP leadership seems to be coming around to the idea that we can’t just pretend this isn’t happening, and hopefully they’ll bring most of their supporters with them. Of course they did the same thing in March, and then quickly got bored and decided we needed to reopen everything ASAP (without doing the work required to do that safely).
FWIW, my state (which has about a 10th of the UK’s population) had 165 cases yesterday and 17 deaths. We are doing pretty well for the US (7th lowest in cases per capita over the past week).

Just, you, your kith and kin keep safe, if it’s not Covid to worry about it’s the bloody anti- , well, anything, out there.

It’s fair to say that anyone with a vehicle sporting a Victorian licence plate around here cops a fair share of ribbing.
That said though...it's only a matter of time before NSW takes off after you mob.

with any luck, Gladys and co will contain it. better than Dictator Dan

Have to feel for Dan a bit...as a former Victorian public servant, the way Victoria runs (regardless of the mob in power) is a licence to make fuck-ups due to chronic outsourcing. Has been that way since the Kennet era...

yup, Jeff went berserk with the cutting of public service.

Yeah, things are getting extremely bad in must parts of the US. The only encouraging thing is it appears that even the biggest "science is a hoax and a mask destroys God's creation" clowns are starting to realize that letting it burn out of control is just about as bad for the economy as a full lockdown.. I only hope they're coming around in time to turn it around..

My state has a population about the size of Belgium, spread out across an area the size of Hungary and we’ve had 1047 cases in the last 24 hours. What’s more, that number is actually well below the 21 day average of about 1200/day, and Ohio is far from the worst state in these metrics..
I hope Vic and NSW can get it under control, it sounds like things are still ok in the rest of Australia?

rest of the country is fine.
